Early skyscrapers are tall, commercial buildings built between 1884 and 1939, mainly in the New York City and Chicago but also in other places of the US and in other places of the Western world.
Since the earliest times, a man tries to build bigger and higher. Skyscrapers are only one of these creations made from necessity but also as a way to conquer nature and limitations it imposes.
The first skyscrapers appeared at the places where population rose very quickly along with the economy but the land was scarce and expensive - namely Chicago and New York City.
